TRIBUTE TO A FELLOW BOARD MEMBER

Mr. Jack Hawk’s untimely passing has impacted many people whose lives he had touched, in his architectural profession and in Ohio’s Deaf Community, including the Ohio Association of the Deaf, Inc which he served as chair of OAD’s Board of Trustees, Management Board and Financial Committee from 2019 to 2023.

Mr. Hawk, the oldest of the four hearing children born to Deaf parents, was a giant in our Deaf Community. Besides his life-long profession in Architecture, Mr. Hawk made a commitment to serve in deaf-managed activities, and he will be best remembered for his legacy in advocating for Deaf rights, and Deaf leadership in local and state agencies.  He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.  May his memory be eternal.
